(FIXED) Item ''Roguepower'' deleted from inventory

Post by icywind1980 »

When I logged back into the server I got a message that said ''Lost item: roguepower''. This is after never having received it in the first place and the DM having to give it to me in game. What should I do?

Hi Icywind,

The "rogue power" item is obsolete (which is the reason that it is removed when you log in) :)

Instead, when you log in, you should automatically get an "attack increased" bonus, as well as a "damage increased" bonus (depending on your number of rogue-levels). The advantage is, that you do not have to remember to activate an item, in order to get your class bonus.

I have updated the class description on the forum to reflect this change. Specifically, the bonus works like this:
  • From level 1-10: +5 to hit, +5 to damage
  • From level 11-20: +10 to hit, +10 to damage
  • From level 21-30: +15 to hit, +15 to damage
  • From level 31-40: +20 to hit, +20 to damage
You get the bonus, if you have at least 1 rogue-level. And if you do, your levels in Assassin and Harper are also added to the level count, to determine which bonus you get.

Is it fixed to come back after respawning? Originally I just lost the buff when I respawned or rested.

Aye it should indeed be - once i reset the server in a few hours :)

Btw, Did you find that armorcraft mannequin yet ? ; and if so is it an erf or an HAK. An erf would be much prefered and apreciated :)

I delivered a fix to Tarashon earlier today, so it should work, once he has an opportunity to install the fix, and restart the server.

But did you also lose the buff when you rested? In my own tests, the buff disappeared after either respawning or level-up, but specifically not when resting (it was due to a bug in NWScript, where it would not re-appply a permanent effect correctly after it was cleared by death/level up). The effect itself is created as a "supernatural" effect, i.e. should not be possible to dispel and should not disappear when resting. If it disappears while resting, please report this as a separate bug, since that would mean that the "supernatural" modifier is not functioning as it should (but please retry after the other fix has been installed on the server :) )

Yes after I rest, the buff goes away.

I linked the tailor models here in the suggestions forum and sent you a PM about it :)
