So, this was the first instance of Death Magic that I've seen on the server. The good news is that I saved against it. The bad news is that I had a 30% chance to instantly die despite being level 19 and having a reasonable fortitude score (16, would have been 19 but penalty from Doom aura -- still a 15% chance to instantly die in ideal situation).
In a group it would have been less of a big deal -- presumably the boss killing one person wouldn't be the end of the world because you have several others to rez. But solo...you have to start the whole dungeon over.
And I don't recall ever seeing any items with Immunity: Death Magic (and there's no option at the forge).
So maybe the simplest solution is to just remove Destruction from that boss?

Removed the destructionspell from his spelllist and basically redesigned it completely for a more protective/healing apraoch.
