...in looking through the list of classes the stones are for, do you need one of those classes? or must all your classes be from that list? If the latter, any reason weapon master is missing? Seems it should be on that list..

You just need one of the classes.

I think my reasoning with not including WM was to stop potential none melee classes gaining too much from the WM entry so figured anyone creating a melee character would have at least one of the mentioned classes.
