No matter what I try to do with the forge, it tells me I don't have enough tokens... currently I have 6 on Jess , even a new item, says I don't have enough tokens for the most basic , lowest cost additions.

Other bug, playing my bard, she could not summon a level2 summon spell ... it wouldn't fire off or anything. she did summon one from level 1 scroll, but I didn't try her actual spell for level 1.

Geez all kinds of mysterious bugs

I'll look into it today after work.

Perhaps your item has a few properties already. If your item already has 3 or more properties, then the cost will be at least 7 tokens.

These were blank items, new

Terrible sorry benevolent but tired like heck so wont be today i go into the forge issues. I wont forget it though

No one seems to have this issue , but me ... , so perhaps it's related to recovering Jess and Anoksuna from before the crash?

That should not be the case since many of the others are in fact also recovered. Hmm let us try that I remove your forgetokens and grant you new as DM to see if those tokens in mysterious ways are corrupted or whatever...
