Yeah, same here, the bank script is one of the oldest scripts in the module, and as far as I know, a "zeroing" of a bank account has never occured before. It sounds like a loss of data on the item, which as far as I know, can only happen if the character is exported to a local file, and then re-imported into the server vault

But to reiterate, the best way to ensure that the bank account is updated correctly after a visit to the bank, would be to use the widget to save your character immediately after.

Som, are there logs you can look at for the server?

The server was reset two days ago, I was on when it happened ...

I and Incartus was the only two people I seen on after that reset. Of course there were some hours I wasn't on, during sleep and work yesterday , but as I passed by, the casino door was open , which was shut the day before ... , someone went in Archibalds , and it wasn't the two of us. Otherwise, the door would have been shut , until one of us opened it.

I have to wonder still, if someone didn't manage to hak my account , give themselves Jess' gold ( logg in as Jess take gold, log out, log back in drop it , and then re-logg with thier own toon and pick up the gold. ) ... and then went gambling in the casino. Because there's only two reasons to go in there, a quest , and to loose your gold.

It' s just too strange of a glitch , and I can confirm the time stamps when I was playing my characters , previously before this zero gold thing, and after the latest reset.

I don't have direct access to the server (and hence it's logs), but perhaps Tara can take a look.

I'm wondering though, whether you being online during the server reset could have had an impact on your character file (since depending on the method of resetting, this will not always trigger a character save). Have you noticed other problems, such as being able to retake previously completed quests for instance?

no, cannot retake quest , I never had issues regarding being on during a reset before , and I had the gold in the account at least 6 hours after reset , even changing characters twice during that time. ( once to Azzy, then to Jess ) , so I don't think it was a reset issue.

Tara logged in and helped jess, so crisis averted ... except the server went down/offline moments after he left and went to bed

There is an item you can find while fishing, that when activated, will summon a demon or genie. If you accept his offer of 25,000 gold, he will give you the gold, but will remove all your gold in your inventory, and all your gold in the bank. Perhaps this happened to you. I was told of this by cylaothd, who had lost her gold in the bank.

I wound up selling the bottles that hold the efriti , never used them to have that happen.

As for the logs I don't have any on the webhost. seemes its not really login things or im just a tech'noob extraordinaire

Don't sweat it Tara, some server host aren't set up for extensive logs anyways. I forget what I had to do, but it seemed like I used a third party extension in my server files to create and store chat logs before.

It usually isn't necessary to have them, only in rare cases like this one, or for DMs to heavily "Police" a server whee they have problem children playing.

I am crossing my fingers, that this was a major fluke ... because I don't feel like having to go through the steps to make a new account, change my password and have all my characters imported from local vaults.

Since, the help , jess has retained that gold given back to her, and no other losses yet ... so hope it was a fluke , and just an odd ball thing that happened.
